The third installment of ASCARON's Sacred franchise, now owned by Deep Silver. It was first shown to the public at PAX Prime 2012.

Overview

Sacred 3 is the third full game in the Sacred franchise. The new developer in charge, Keen Games, opted for a more linear approach for this title, instead of the more explorable and open maps like the previous games. But overall Sacred 3 continues the series slash action RPG combat gameplay with a third-person isometric overhead view. The game also has an emphasis on cooperative play as a base of gameplay and is developed primarily for console users, letting the Playstation 3 be its lead platform.

Plot

The ruler of the Ashen Empire Lord Zane has begun to open gates to the Ancarian underworld after the sacred bond between the people of Ancaria and the Seraphim Guardians of the kingdom had been forgotten. Faced by this corruption is a group of heroes that will push back the forces of evil and take back the land of peace.
